Rising- Valentine’s Day 2018 in Kabete
Her Voice, under Billion Rising-Kenya, Family Wellness Center, and the Betty Adera Foundation joined forces to spread real love and promote positive masculinity at the Kabete Rehabilitation Center. Together, they organized a special event aimed at empowering the Boy Child and addressing the root causes of gender-based violence (GBV). Through interactive discussions and mentorship talks, they sought to instill values of respect, empathy, and equality among the boys, encouraging them to become advocates for change in their communities. Invitation by US Ambassador 2015
Her Voice was invited to the US Ambassador’s residence in Nairobi for Women’s History Month 2015 to celebrate and honor the vital role of women in American history. As guests mingled in the elegantly adorned hall, surrounded by photographs and quotes of iconic women, a sense of reverence and admiration filled the air. The Ambassador’s passionate speech underscored the importance of empowering women and girls, inspiring all present to continue the work of gender equality. The evening was a poignant reminder that the achievements of women should be celebrated not just in March, but every day, as guests left with renewed determination to champion the rights and accomplishments of women everywhere.
